Boats made with the wind.
Sailing yachts from 38 to 60 ft. Built in our Turgutreis workshop in Bodrum, twelve a year.
Bodrum on an August afternoon: meltemi at 18 knots, from the northwest.
Meltem is the name of the summer wind that blows from the north across the Aegean.
We test our boats in it. Every yacht that leaves the workshop meets the afternoon meltemi in Bodrum bay before she is handed over.
That is why a Meltem reefs easily, slips into shallow coves and stays cool in the sun. Designed for the Aegean, ready for the ocean.

From workshop to water
A Meltem 46 takes eight months. Every stage, hull to rig, happens under one roof.
Month 11. Lines and mould
The hull is drawn for the short Aegean chop; the mould is made in our own workshop.
Months 2–32. Hull
Vinylester resin, vacuum infusion. Below the waterline an extra layer protects against osmosis.
Months 3–43. Keel and structure
The cast iron keel is fixed with stainless bolts; the inner grid is laminated to the hull.
Months 4–64. Interior
Oak or mahogany; furniture made in our joinery, varnished by hand.
Month 75. Rig and sails
Mast, shrouds and lines go up; sails are cut to the boat's own measurements.
Month 86. Sea trials
Three days in Bodrum bay: speed, heel, engine and every system. You get the report.

Questions
I have never owned a sailing yacht. Is that a problem?
No. Handover includes two days of training, and in the first season our skipper can sail with you for a few days.
Why are there no prices on the site?
Every boat depends on keel, layout and package. We give a written quote based on your choices.
How long until delivery?
6 months for the Meltem 38, 8 for the 46, 12 for the 54 and 16 for the 60. The exact date is set in the contract.
Is she suitable for charter?
The Meltem 46 and 60 have charter layouts. We can also support charter management in Bodrum.
Where does the boat stay in winter?
Ashore in Turgutreis if you like. We handle maintenance, antifouling and the spring launch.
